10,700 Vehicles in Australia Recalled by Nissan Over Crash, Fire Risks

10,700 Duali, Duali 2+, and X-Trail automobiles have been recalled by Nissan Australia due to a potential fire hazard or control loss risk posed by the vehicles.  On the Dualis, the risk stems from the fact that the steering wheel can become separated from other vehicle components, which could lead to the driver not being able to properly navigate.  The diesel engine X-Trails suffer from an issue wherein the turbocharger on the engine and a warped insulator could come into contact with one another, creating a fire hazard.  Nissan will be in touch with owners, who can bring their vehicles in to a dealer for repairs.
