16,000 Transit Connect Vehicles Recalled by Ford For Wiper Arm Defect
Transit Connect vehicles of the 2011 through 2012 model years are being recalled by the Ford Motor Company. Over 16,000 units are possibly affected by a wiper blade riveting defect that could lead the windshield wiper to become completely removed from the vehicles. In times of inclement weather, this would necessarily impede a driver’s ability to see the roadway. On August 13, Ford will set about getting in touch with owners, and dealers have been instructed to provide free wiper arm replacement.
