68,000 Bikes of Various Brands Recalled by Meijer for Fall Threat

A fall hazard posed by loose or even potentially detached pedals has led to the recall of Razor, Schwinn, Northwoods, Iron Horse, Huffy, Pacific, and Mongoose bikes.  The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Meijer announced the recall, which affects 68,000 bicycles.  29 loosening or detachment complaints have been made, and 16 involved an apparent injury.  The bikes should not be used and should instead be brought back to receive a free equivalent bike, plus a $10 gift card good for a Meijer purchase.
