Albuquerque Event Provides Needy Citizens With Bike Safety Checks
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, an organization known as the Duke City Wheelmen Foundation held an event designed to provide homeless and near homeless bike riders with safety tips, bicycle safety checks, and free equipment. Because such persons rely on bikes to commute, but can’t afford to buy essentials like reflective gear, the advocacy group stepped up to ensure safety among the demographic. Trek bike employees were also available to lend a hand.
