An End to Texting While Driving Pledged by Mississippi Students

Students from Mississippi’s Harrison Central High School have vowed to eliminate texting from their driving routine after undergoing a simulated distracted driving experience. Recent deaths of other students their age have been blamed on distracted driving, and under further pressure from the community and the event’s sponsor, AT & T, the teens pledged to be more careful by focusing on the road instead of their handheld devices.
