Since looking at one’s phone while driving can cause serious car accidents, various companies have developed apps to combat the danger. An app called Drivesafe.ly works by reading an incoming message aloud to a driver, while Drive Mode from AT & T alerts the author that you can’t respond because you’re driving. It also blocks other phone capabilities. For a mere $4.99, an app called iGuardianTeen will alert parents via email to their teen’s behavior behind the wheel.
