Atlanta, Georgia Plagued by Sidewalk Improvement Project Backlog
The city of Atlanta, Georgia has a list of sidewalk and curb safety improvements that have yet to be carried out, and it’s estimated that it would cost $204 million to get to all of them. That’s why two members of the city council have instituted a task force that will look into how best to approach the problem. PEDS, a pedestrian advocacy group, plans to be involved in figuring out what kinds of measures are needed to address the issue.
