Bike Accidents On the Rise at the University of Illinois
The University of Illinois has seen an uptick in the amount of bicycle accidents occurring across campus, prompting police with the education institution to increase their efforts to enforce bike laws in the area. Officials have grown increasingly concerned about the number of cyclists who violate bike laws and put themselves and others in danger in the process. The Police Captain said one of the biggest problems is the fact that cyclists don’t realize they’re required to obey the same laws as regular automobiles.
