Bike Safety Efforts Earn Phoenix, Oregon an Honorable Mention
For the first time, the city of Phoenix, Oregon has received an honorable mention distinction from the League of American Bicyclists, which gives out awards to those areas that could be considered a Bike Friendly Community. The mention is a good start, but it means there’s still room for improvement. A member of the Bike Friendly Phoenix Committee is pleased with the distinction, saying it’s hard for first-timers to do better than an honorable mention.
