Black Licorice Recalled by Lucky Country For Heightened Lead Levels

Heightened amounts of lead have led to the recall of black licorice from Smart & Final and Costco retail locations in Utah, Arizona, and right here in California.  The recall was announced by the Lincolnton, North Carolina-based Lucky Country and concerns their Aussie Style Soft Gourmet Black Licorice with Natural Ingredients.  The 1.5 pound bags can be brought back by consumers to obtain a refund.  The licorice shouldn’t be eaten.
