Blueprint Targets Distracted Driving Among Commercial Drivers
While distracted driving can be caused by many different factors, texting is among the most dangerous. The Transportation Secretary has released a Blueprint for Ending Distracted Driving, and much of this initiative is focused on employers whose workers are required to spend much of their time driving yet haven’t been educated on the dangers of texting while driving. The blueprint tasks employers with prohibiting texting while driving by employees. This can be done through the creation of new company policies and safety procedures.
