California Legalizes Voice-Activated Texting While Driving

Texting while behind the wheel has been illegal in California for awhile now, but that’s about to change, at least partially.  The Governor has just signed a bill making texting while driving legal in instances where the text is voice-activated or otherwise doesn’t require a driver’s hands to manipulate.  January 1 of next year marks the date that the law is set to go into effect.
