Studies have shown that, every hour, Canadians send almost ten million texts to one another. Although there are laws against texting and cellphone usage while driving, some citizens still apparently believe that these actions aren’t as serious as they seem. The president of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association wants both drivers and pedestrians to refrain from these acts. Canadians that refuse are said to be putting their lives and the lives of others in peril.
