Chairman’s Commendation Awards Bestowed by CPSC
The 2nd annual Chairmen’s Commendation Awards have been bestowed by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The awards were created in 2011 to honor people and groups who work toward the improvement of consumer safety. The recipients are a Cribs for Kids executive director who works to provide safe cribs to low income families for free, a doctor who provides product safety courses at St. Louis University, a Johns Hopkins public health professor, and a member of the Consumer Federation of America whose lobbying resulted in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008.
