Clovis Teens Learn About Texting Dangers Through a Simulator

Teenagers in Clovis, California got to see firsthand how dangerous texting behind the wheel of an automobile can be thanks to a distracted driving simulator made available by the local police department.  The simulator was set up at Buchanan High School and allowed teens to test out their abilities while an officer sat in the passenger seat to monitor their progress.  Many of the teens got into some type of traffic accident, with students stating that concentration was greatly imperiled when people yelled out directions.  The police have expressed a desire to visit other schools in the area to emphasize the importance of this issue.
