Companies Turn to Technology to Curb Texting While Driving
Texting and driving do not mix. To prevent drivers from texting while they are operating a motor vehicle, several telecommunication companies and insurance companies have developed apps that could break the habit. Some apps will send automated text responses to the third party that explains that a driver cannot text at the time. There is also an application that will lock the device when the vehicle is traveling faster than 10 miles per hour.
