Crash Hazard Prompts Expanded Recall of Tektro TL-83 Bike Brake Levers
Additional bicycle brake levers are being recalled by the Morgan Hill, California-based Specialized Bicycle Components in an expansion of a recall that took place in April. At that time, 600 Tektro TL-83 levers were recalled, and now 100 more levers used in S-Works Shiv and Shiv TT bike frames fall within the scope of the recall. A defect can compromise the ability of the brakes to stop the bike, leading to a potential crash hazard. Specialized Bicycle Components will provide replacements at no cost to consumers who bring their affected product back to a retailer.
