Dangerous Driving Behaviors Prompt Increased Patrols in Sturgis

Motorcyclists have descended on Sturgis, South Dakota for the world famous rally held there every year, and law enforcement entities have increased their numbers in the area so that safety can be preserved amongst such drivers.  According to a spokesperson for the American Motorcycle Association, crashes largely increase because many of the riders in town haven’t had experience driving in groups with other bikers.  Alcohol and partying don’t help either.  That’s why, for the first time ever, the South Dakota Safety Council has set up a booth to spread the word about safety.
