In Fair Lawn, New Jersey, police officers recently targeted those motorists who endangered pedestrians as a part of a month-long campaign to increase pedestrian safety. The effort resulted in 142 drivers being cited for a panoply of offenses. The biggest offense by far was cellphone usage, with 43 of those types of citations being issued.
