FDA Tells Consumers to Refrain from Consuming Intestinomicina
The presence of a potentially dangerous ingredient has prompted the Food and Drug Administration to tell consumers not to consume Intestinomicina. The El Salvador product, which purports to treat diarrhea and gastrointestinal infections, contains chloramphenicol, a drug ingredient only available via prescription. A couple months ago, the oral version of the drug was taken off the market in America because of hazards like bone marrow toxicity.
