Fire Hazard Prompts Recall of Kenmore Elite and LG Gas Dryers
The South Korea-based LG Electronics has announced the recall of Sears Kenmore Elite and LG Electronics gas dryers. The defect comes in the form of a gas valve that might not necessarily shut off when it’s supposed to, causing the dryer to heat up even when the cycle has come to an end. This could lead a consumer to experience a burn or cause a fire to break out. 141 complaints have been made already. Sears Kenmore dryer owners should contact Sears, while others should get in touch with LG for a replacement.
