Garden City Police Offers Bike and Pedestrian Safety Tips to Students
In New York, the Garden City Police Department is providing citizens with a wide range of safety tips geared toward young bicyclists and pedestrians on their way to and from school. Kids on bikes are being urged to wear helmets, even if it’s not necessarily illegal not to, and to follow the same rules of the road as automobiles. Pedestrians are encouraged to always use the sidewalk and to heed the signals of crossing guards.
