Highway 9 Safety Improvements a Joint Effort Between Communities
The cities of Los Gatos, Saratoga, and Monte Sereno are in the midst of a partnership to improve safety along the troubled Highway 9, which has seen its share of pedestrian and bicycle collisions in the past ten years. The cities decided upon a four stage plan that sought to improve safety in the area, and tomorrow, the third phase will be completed. A ribbon cutting ceremony is set to commemorate the event. Bike detection systems and bike lane installation were among the innovations that were a part of phase three.
