Louisiana State Police Promote Pedestrian Safety
An increase in the number of pedestrian collisions that have taken place on the Louisiana State University campus has prompted the college’s police department to take action. At the end of last week, an email blast was sent to students and faculty urging them to use caution even when signage suggests they have the right of way. They stated that cyclists are also required to yield to pedestrians. This week will see officers increasing their efforts to crack down on reckless drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
