Malibu, G6, and Aura Automobiles Recalled by GM Over Crash Risk
Chevy Malibu and Pontiac G6 automobiles of the 2008 through 2010 model years, as well as Saturn Auras of the 2007 through 2010 model years, are being recalled by General Motors. An astounding 426,240 vehicles are affected by the recall. A fracture can be incurred by the transmission shift cable tabs, and a separation could then occur. This could lead to a situation where a driver might be able to shift to Park, but the vehicle might not in fact be in the Park position, which poses a rollaway hazard. No word yet on when free repairs will begin.
