Maui, Hawaii Hosts Weekend Car Seat Inspection
Police officers from Molokai and Lanai, as well as nurses from Maui Memorial Medical, were involved in a weekend inspection of car seats in Maui, Hawaii. The event was conducted in conjunction with National Child Passenger Safety Week. Turnout for the event was greater than expected. In total, 25 car seats were checked, and there were a whopping 95% of seats that were installed incorrectly. To ensure that a child’s safety seat is installed the right way, parents are encouraged to attend events such as this and to read the manuals that come with the seats.
