Mazda Unveils MX-5 Miata With New Safety Features In Japan

A new report provides information on the updated version of Mazda’s 2013 MX-5 Miata available in Japan. Upgrades (which have not been installed on the U.S. models as of yet) include mechanical tweaks such as reprogrammed engine computers on those models that come with manual transmissions and an Active Bonnet that could lessen the injury risk to pedestrians if a frontal collision is imminent. Also included are multiple aesthetic upgrades, such as a new front fascia.
