Michigan Texting Law Provides Insight Into Difficulty of Enforcement
The practice of texting and driving has become an enemy of law enforcement everywhere. One issue plaguing many states is the ability of law enforcement to prove that the very specific act of texting actually took place instead of some other phone-based action. In the case of Michigan, the state has laws against texting but not other facets of distracted driving such as internet use or focusing for too long on a GPS. This creates a system where laws are difficult to enforce.
