Minnesota DOT Promotes Pedestrian Safety in Billboard Campaign

The Department of Transportation of the state of Minnesota has launched a campaign designed to raise awareness about the importance of pedestrian safety.  Officials want motorists and pedestrians alike to always adhere to safety guidelines and be courteous to those persons they share the road with.  October has consistently been shown to be the most hazardous time of the year for people on foot, and billboards and safety signage around the city aims to cut down on the 800 injuries and 40 deaths that occurred among pedestrians in 2011.
