Motorized Scooters and Cellphone Driving Laws Passed in Dunbar, WV
The Dunbar, West Virginia City Council recently approved an ordinance that pertains to motorized scooters as well as one that bans the use of handheld cellphones while driving. Disabled residents’ motorized scooters and carts would be required to have reflective stickers so that visibility could be improved. The cellphone ban has the same language as a statewide ban that was recently passed. This was but the first reading, so the ordinances will be considered anew at a future council meeting.
