New Hampshire Schools Emphasize Dangers of Distracted Driving
New Hampshire schools have joined a nationwide campaign to make younger drivers see the dangers of distracted driving. Some schools are encouraging people to sign pledges that make them promise to not text and drive. In addition, there have been event days devoted to hosting activities related to ending distracted driving. For example, a fun and effective way that Great Bay eLearning Charter School did this was to have students wear blindfolds while riding on scooters around cones. This gives them an idea of how their driving would be affected if they were texting.
