New Lisbon, Wisconsin Teens Try Out Distracted Driving Simulator

In order to teach teenagers the dangers of texting while driving, Wisconsin’s New Lisbon police force helped set up a computerized program for kids at the local high school. Several of the teens realized how dangerous distracted driving truly was after taking part in the simulator provided by the Highway Patrol and the DOT, and one police officer acknowledged that distracted driving affects everyone, not just younger drivers. The officer has also taken the distracted driving simulator to a correctional facility in support of that institution’s Health and Wellness Program.
