Numerous Pasta Items Recalled by Kerry For Metal Fragment Hazard

I have a recall to report to you today which concerns food products that could pose a danger to anyone who consumes them.

The recall concerns not one product, but many that could all be affected by the same health issue. Kerry Ingredients & Flavors, Bay Valley Foods announced the recall, which concerns a variety of boxed pasta mixes. Each of the pastas in question was produced by ST Specialty Foods, which is itself a subsidiary of Kerry. 74,000 cases in total are affected by the recall.

Products are too numerous to list here, but include such items as Reggano Pasta Salad Classic Italian, Macaroni n Cheese Rich n Creamy, Food Club Pasta Salad Classics Ranch & Bacon, and similar items. They were available across the country at retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Aldi, and more.

The issue with these items has to do with a seasoning blend comprising one of the ingredients. This blend was produced with lactic acid that is in danger of being compromised by metal fragments, thus posing a potential hazard to consumers.

The company has yet to receive any illness reports, but nevertheless, affected owners should destroy any of the aforementioned products. The items can also be brought back to the store if a refund is preferred.
