Ottawa Police Want to Improve Pedestrian Safety in Construction Areas

In Ottawa, officers are putting together a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program that aims to improve pedestrian safety in areas where construction work is taking place along the road.  981 traffic accidents took place in just four years in the city, and four workers were actually hit by a passing vehicle during that time.  This is but one facet of what’s known as the Safer Roads Ottawa Program.
