Peanut Butter Cookies Recalled by Whole Foods Over Salmonella Fears

Whole Foods has recalled many of their peanut butter chocolate chunk and peanut butter cookies because they may be tainted with Salmonella. While no illnesses have reportedly occurred in conjunction with these particular items, the recall was necessitated due to the fact that a recent Salmonella outbreak was traced back to other peanut butter products. Even when a Salmonella infection is not lethal, it can cause a variety of unpleasant symptoms, such as fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. Customers are encouraged to refrain from eating the cookies and to bring a receipt back to the store to obtain a complete refund.
