Pecan Salad Toppings Recalled by Bay Valley for Undeclared Almonds
Bay Valley Foods has announced the recall of Naturally Fresh Roasted & Glazed Pecan Pieces Salad Toppings because these particular items might have pieces of almonds in them. Without the label explaining the almonds’ presence, the food could be dangerous and even fatal to consumers allergic to almonds who mistakenly consume the product. As such, the company is recalling three and a half ounce packages with a best by date of April 7 or 8 of 2013. No word on any cases of allergic reactions yet.
