Pedestrian Safety Compromised Along Manchester Expressway in Georgia
A spat of recent accidents has citizens in Columbus, Georgia increasingly concerned about the danger to pedestrians posed by the local Manchester Expressway. People have gone on record as saying that the crosswalks are too far apart, and as a result, rampant jaywalking has become the norm. This is particularly dangerous, though, as people on foot have to travel across six lanes of high speed traffic. A fatality took place this past weekend, and an injurious collision occurred just two weeks prior.
