Pedestrian Safety Under Fire in San Francisco Despite Improvements

San Francisco has attempted to make many improvements to pedestrian safety, but even still, the city has experienced an average of 800 such collisions every year.  A new report discusses how this year is on track to surpass 2010’s and 2011’s levels of pedestrian fatalities, and offers a map that shows where such collisions have occurred.  The fatalities are not surprisingly clustered around the downtown area.  The writer is asking for readers to contribute by sharing their thoughts on San Francisco pedestrian safety.
