Pennsylvania Law Requires Motorists to Help Cyclists Stay Safe
Last April, the state of Pennsylvania enacted a law that requires motorists to give bicycles a four foot cushion in order to promote safety. This cushion is meant to be put in place whenever a vehicle passes a bike, and the center line can be crossed in order to comply if safe to do so. A new article stresses the need to share the road in light of this law, as more and more people turn to bikes in order to save money on gas. Increased cycling may also aid the economy as towns become stops along biking routes.
