Pleasanton Promotes Helmet Usage Among Child Cyclists
The city of Pleasanton, California is placing more of an emphasis on bike safety through the promotion of helmet usage among kids. Any police officer who sees a student riding his or her bike to school without a helmet is being tasked with pulling that student over and speaking to them about the danger of not utilizing a helmet. Courtesy citations are going to be distributed. The Pleasanton Unified School District has partnered with the police department for this effort.
