Report Offers Details of Alabama’s New Texting Ban

Alabama’s new law banning texting while driving is set to go into effect on August 1, and a new report out of Huntsville offers details to residents. The law makes such a violation a primary offense.  Penalties start with a $25 fine and can be issued for any distractions incurred while typing on a handheld device while driving.  The Alabama Governor signed the bill into law in May.
