Report Says Australian Car Rating Systems Are Shortsighted

Just simply picking the car with the best crash test rating isn’t enough, according to some researchers.  A new article says that two of the most reputable Australian services for judging crash-worthiness within vehicles are often at odds, which causes one to wonder just how reliable the ratings actually are.  For instance, one reason why the ratings are skewed is because of the formula used. If people are not injured in the crash or if no vehicle needs to be towed, the accident will not get looked at by the Monash University Accident Research Centre.
