Texting and driving and other cellphone violations are being enforced in school zones in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley. The fine in the area is an average of $200 for using a cellphone in such zones. The highest fine in any local community is $225, and that severe punishment is in place in the city of Brownstone. Drivers should use caution around schools, not just to avoid a fine, but to save lives.
