Rocky River, Ohio Looks Set to Mimic State Texting While Driving Law

Rocky River, Ohio is moving to embrace the state’s view of distracted driving.  A new law being considered would bring the city’s definition of a violation into compliance with the state and further deter people driving through Rocky River from texting while driving. Currently, the state designates distracted driving as a secondary offense, and Rocky River is likely to follow suit.  The city previously wanted to go further, but that option no longer appears to be on the table. A potential $150 fine awaits offenders.
