Safety Improvements Touted by Wisconsin Rapids Police Department
The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department’s safety and school liaison officer recently shared with the Daily Tribune some of the improvements to safety that have been made as school goes back into session for the year. The Safe Routes to School program is exploring sidewalk creation along certain stretches of road, and committees have met to discuss various other safety measures. The interviewed officer advises going back to basics and stopping at the line and looking both ways to promote safety.
