Safety Improvements Urged Ahead of Maryland Bikeshare Program
The state of Maryland is set to implement a Bikeshare program in 2013, but a councilwoman from Montgomery County believes that the Transportation Department first needs to do more to ensure the safety of cyclists. She supports the creation and implementation of shared use markings, bike lanes, and more. The Washington Area Bicyclist Association supports the moves. 29 stations are set to go up throughout the county in 2013.
