Saul Ste Marie Officers Crack Down on Distracted Drivers

Distracted drivers in Sault Ste Marie were greeted by officers on patrol on August 1. Six drivers were cited within a four hour period for not paying attention to the road (two within 8 minutes of one another). Since the distracted driving law went into place in the area two years ago, officers have been stepping up patrols. The fine for distracted driving is $155 per offense.
