Side Curtain Airbag Defect Prompts Ford to Recall 154,604 Fiestas
A whopping 154,604 Ford Fiestas of the 2011 through 2013 model years are being recalled because they fail to meet standards set forth by the federal government. If no one is riding in the front passenger seat position, there will be no deployment of the passenger side curtain airbags should a crash occur on that side. This would endanger persons who ride behind the front passenger seat when no one is in that seat. Software will be reprogrammed for free by dealers.
