Simulator Allows Maryland Students to Learn About Distracted Driving

The headquarters of the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration recently held an event that aimed to let students from Glen Burnie High School learn about the dangers of texting behind the wheel via a distracted driving simulator.  Students were tasked with sending a text whilst trying to avoid vehicles, pedestrians, and the sudden switching of traffic lights.  Numerous students ran into people, drove at unsafe speeds, and veered from the lane of travel.
