South Jersey Organization Offers Pedestrian Safety Tips
The South Jersey Traffic Safety Alliance is trying to spread the word about pedestrian safety throughout the state. To that end, they’re offering tips to anyone out on foot. First, walkers should make sure to wear clothing that can be easily identifiable to drivers. They should avoid walking in the lane, use crosswalks if at all possible, and exercise caution even in situations where the pedestrian should be afforded the right of way. It’s hoped that these tips could cut down on a recent increase in pedestrian deaths in New Jersey.
